3D Maps (No Glasses Required) [WIP]
Hey,
I just wanted to show off a work in progress. What you see in the video is a 3D map, created from CC3 (Castles) that has been exported and turned into a Lenticular 3D image. If you have any comments, leave them here. I hope to post a final version of my world map in stunning 3D once I work all the kinks out of the process.

My overall goal is to produce a 8x10 "Magical Map" that can be included as a handout. Despite the image being no thicker then a sheet of paper, the mountains really leap off the page, cutting through the clouds, while the rivers are carved deeply into the earth as they wind their way to the ocean. I can't think of anything cooler to start off a fantasy based Pathfinder game.

If you hang around for a few weeks I will write up the best way to make these, and upload a completed project sample.

We can also add "Ruined" and "Maintained" to the list.

I'm used with 3D experiments and I did not think about "do it myself" using lenticular sheets! Great idea!
I'm very interrested in knowing how you do the 3D effect! I'm looking forward to get your tutorial! (actually, I searched on VueThru and their free software, SuperFlip! but there is nothing about doing the 3D effect... You speak about Photoshop... How do you use it to achieve the 3D effect? By moving layers along and saving every image?)
I'm starving to know how to! My players will go mad!
Warm regards,
Paul
