Portfolio Question

I was wondering if I could use my own personal maps as portfolio pieces? Also, for my website I have an idea to implement a map for my homepage as well as to navigate through. Also, if I am allowed to use your program to do such an endeavors, how would I correctly reference you guys that I used your software.

I have over 1,000 CC3 maps on my web site, but I'll let Ralf or Simon reply about the portfolio.

You're perfectly fine with using any of your maps in your portfolio and on your website. You don't need to reference us, but you can if you want. You'll find some web buttons here.

The only thing you shouldn't do is to use our symbol pngs directly as graphics on your website, i.e. don't take a single city symbols and make a button from it.

Thanks Ralf. I was thinking along the lines of using text for buttons. What is the best way to stain your map in photoshop or can you even do that in CC3 its self?

Didn't we have an annual with templates for maps with stains on them ? Coffee stains ? weathering of the paper ?

Yes, that's the same issue, the templates have some sheets that can be shown to create a torn map look:

Generally, to create stains, simply set up a new sheet with strong blur and transparency effects and add some smooth (or fractal) polys in appropriate colors to it.
