Installing on multiple computers

OK, so I came across this software yesterday and its going to be an essential for my friends and I's Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and an online RP we are currently creating. However we are but poor college students and individually we cannot afford the software...

So we had this idea, of splitting the bill 3 to 4 ways, and using the software between us. But reading the agreement with the serial keys I'm wondering if this is possible.

I have a desktop and a laptop I would like to install this on, and then there would be at least two other computers (my two friends) that it would need to be installed upon as well if we split the bill. Is this possible, or will the installation fail due to it being at two separate 911 addresses?

HELP!!!

    Hello Darius,

the installation will not fail, but you will be in legal violation of the license. Don't do this, as we'll be forced to disable the serial numbers in question and to consider legal action.

We rely on the good will and integrity of our users, instead of using elaborate security measures to counter piracy. And we would very much like it to stay that way,

Split the cost among the group and let your most avid mapper use the software. All members of the group will benefit. That's the way to go.

  • That was what I was trying to ask I'm sorry it didn't come out right, we have no intention of violating your license, for this is a wonderful program, and from what I can see, is the only resource of its kinds to pen and paper players.

Thank you for your quick and informative response Ralf. I'll be purchasing the software soon hopefully, and after that, our games will never be the same.

Some of us, me included, have placed our paper and pencil AD&D, and other, rpg games up on the internet.

My maps, etc. are free to use, just mention the url of where you got them.
