Frequent crashed while adding new bitmap fills

Just wondering if there is anyone else having this issue.
I will be adding bitmaps in CC3 (patch 8) when the program will throw a Dr Watson crash. Specifically the error occurs as follows.
I'll be in CC3, I'll click the fill, then click bitmaps, click new (and this is odd, I have to click alt to get the new texture name box to appear) name the texture, and when I click in the path box BAM It throws the error.
Even more troubling is that it does this sporadically. I could add 5 or 10 or 20 textures and nothing. But then it happens, I close the app down. Close Dr watson in task manager, and restart CC3 and now it'll do it over and over and over a lot more frequently
However if I restart the whole system, it works fine for a while, and then starts doing it again.
The really bad thing is that clearly CC3 does not handle errors at all gracefully, and this indicates bad try catch exception implimentation.
That said, I've tried this on a couple other systems and am experiencing the same behavior on them as well. That adding textures is causing all sorts of grief.
Anyone else having these frequent crashes?

Anyway, you might wish to try using Tools -> Import bitmap fill styles instead. This imports everything in any given folder, but it is fast, without having to manually browse to and name the styles.
