Terrain and Symbols
Hi all,
I'm relatively new to CC3, so bear with me! I'm trying to have different terrain types on my map, such as mountains, hills etc. My idea is to use symbols (hand-drawn, from Fantasy Overland 1) and then draw the terrain around the symbols so when the sheet effects are added there are nice blurred edges between the mountainous terrain and the surrounding area etc.
My problem is this: when I put the symbols on the map, then draw around them with the Default Terrain tool, the terrain always seems to want to stay on top and obscures the symbols I want it behind. Even telling CC3 to send it back doesn't seem to work. The funny thing is that if I do the same with contours, the contour outline will always appear behind the symbols.
I've attached a file to show what I mean. The grey in the centre is a terrain outline, with the mountains behind it. The one to the bottom left is a mountain with a contour outline.
Any ideas? Thanks!
