When using symbols from one monthly annual set on another annual map...

It seems like some symbols are not compatible from one monthly annual pack to the next. For example, I have been trying to use the mountains and castles from the Sarah Wroot annual on a Mercator map. When I place them, the colors of the symbols come to the front and hide the outlines and detail lines of the symbols. Any way to fix this problem?

This is because of sheet ordering. The Sarah Wroot symbols span multiple sheets, to be able to apply different effects on the background and lines. Mercator maps does not have these sheets defined, so they are created when you place the first symbol.
However, there is no way for CC3 to know where this sheet is to be created, so it is placed last in the sheet ordering, and therefore drawn on top of all the other sheets. If you open the "Drawing Sheets and Effects" after placing a symbol, you'll see some new Sheets (The ones not written in all capital letters)). The easiest way to find out where to place these is to create a new Sarah Wroot map (remember, you can have two instances of CC3 running simultaneously), and look at the sheet order there. You may need to experiment a little, since Mercator has some sheets Sarah Wroot doesn't.
