CD2 to CD3

Is it possible to convert houses created using the random street command in City Designer 2 to City Designer 3 or do these streets have to be redrawn? Isuspect it is the latter though, which will make upgrading some of my city maps a real pain in the proverbial.

Guess that means that as suspected I will need to redo any random streets generated.

You could always just try it on a test map.

I'll start with one of the small villages I did. If I need to redo then I think some of my larger cities will be staying in CD2 for quite some time.

I fear that houses can't be converted from CD2 to CD3 automatically, at least if you want the roof shading to work with automatic shadows. It needs to be redone.

Bringing this thread back to life.
Do CD3 versions of the CD2 symbols Open Theatre, the various barracks,domus largewhichwere in CD2 exist. If so where can they be found. It doesn't look right using these CD2 symbols in a predominately CD3 map.

Hmmm... Interesting, I don't see any CC3 symbols for those. i looked in Symbols/Cities/Filled/ and all I see are CC2 type symbols in my installation.

Of course, I make mistakes, so I could have missed them.
