Rivers stuck in corner

I created a map with Fractal Terrains and exported it, then loaded it with CC3. Now when I got to draw a river, instead of drawing where I click they get stuck in the lower left corner by the compass and scale.

Would appreciate any help,

Check your snap and attach settings. Points not being placed where expected is usually due to either snap or attach being enabled (buttons in bottom right corner of the main CC3 window).

I had the same problem, I found that symbols could be placed normaly but rivers would stay in the corner.

I changed my export settings, last screen, "other items", I cheaked "Border" and "fit border tightly to map" , and now it is drawing rivers on the map

Thanks, The border option fixed it. I would think there should be a setting in CC3 itself that allows us to change this, wish I knew what it was.

In CC3 you can uncheck the "Restrict to Map Border" option of a drawing tool to prevent this behavior, but generally it's better to make sure the Map Border layer (!) has (only) the correct rectangle to define the map border on it.
