City Designer - Create Index

I'm trying to create an index for a city map I've built in City Designer. What I'm trying to do is set index numbers on the map itself, with the numbers, name, and coordinates in an index off to the side -- much like the example displayed on the ProFantasy main page. Trouble is, I can't quite figure out how to pull it off, and the Help file isn't straightforward enough for me to figure it out. Can anyone provide me with some tips or a tutorial?

Have you subscribed to this year's Annual? Today's mapping guide has a section on how to create a city index to your liking. Here's the short version:

1. Add the text labels to the map where they should go, with all the text in them that should appear in the index.
2. Use Create Index on these labels.
3. Bo back to the original labels and edit them to what should be on the map (numbers only for example)

Can I add to an Index or do I have to create a new one every time I need something added?

Unfortunately you can't add to an existing index. You can add a second one below the first and you won't notice a difference, but if you want to add entries in between the old ones, you'll have to redo the index.
