Sheets Problem

I've created my entire landmass and wanted to add an additional lake in the center with an island in the middle of it. I can create the lake just fine but when I go to draw the terrain in the middle and hit redraw my terrain disappears.

The sheets involved are laid out in this manner with some additional sheets in between which are not shown:

Sea
Land
Rivers

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and would appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks.

The basic problem here is that when you draw the island, it ends up on the Land sheet by default, which is below the rivers sheet where the lake is located, which causes the lake to be drawn on top of the island. What you need to do is create another sheet, islands), and place it below the Rivers sheet in the list. Now, you need to draw your island on this sheet. This can be done by either creating a copy of the regular land drawing tool, and modifying it to draw on your new river sheet, or you can just draw the island, then move it afterward with the change properties command (You might need to temporarily hide the rivers sheet to be able to actually select the new island to move it)
  • That fixed it. Now I can get around to finishing the map. Thanks a bunch! :)
