One of the things I always try to accomplish with my maps, especially CD3 maps is a sense of reality in the maps. Some styles are suppose to look like drawings but I like the ones that look like images taken from a really high altitude.
So I thought others might be interested in this:
One of the Japanese astronaugts on the ISS is also an amature photographer and he's been posting pictures taken from space of different parts of the world on his Twitter feed. Here's one of France that really shows an interesting view of a heavily farmed countryside.
