Text is miniscule

I have a map with a background image that is 8192x4096. I was playing around with text and, at first, it was normal size, with the height set to 81.92001. After a while, though, the text became miniscule when I went to place something new. I could barely see the text on the cursor or on the map. The text height still says 81.92001. I have checked every setting I can think of and have closed the app and reopened the map, but I can't the text back to normal size. Any ideas?

What happens if you use the eyedropper to pick the attributes of the labels that were ok, and then try adding another label?
There aren't any of the normal size. I was playing with fonts and colors, and deleted them all before I went to put real ones on.
Oh dear!
What happens if you set the text size to 10x what it is?
It's really big. Much bigger than the default size
You can see it, though?
If you can see it now, make sure snap is turned off and create a new label. While it's still on your crosshairs hold the CTRL key and move the mouse slowly down the screen to adjust the size to something about right.
I can see it. It's about the size of a grain of rice, but visible. I had to set the height to around 250 for it to look normal
It's possible that was the size of the original labels, but we don't know.
It's very easy to accidentally alter the size of text by touching or failing to release the CTRL key in moments when you have a label on your crosshairs and you happen to move the mouse. It doesn't take much.
While 250 does seem rather large it's possible that your map is also quite large. Everything is relative.
I found something interesting. I was just messing around when I made this map, since it's been a long time since I used the app and wanted to refamiliarize myself with it. When I picked a template, I picked the one from the 155 Annual Worldbuilder. That seems to be the issue. With it, the text is tiny and grids are also smaller than normal. I have no idea why, since I used that one quite often in previous maps, last year. I tried making a new map, using the same process, but a different template, and it all works normally.
If you export a whole world from FT using that technique the map itself will be one of several sizes in the range of 'utterly vast', depending on which resolution you chose to export it in. That explains the tiny text. The map is probably several tens of thousands of miles across, compared to the more usual template size of 1000 x 800 miles.
Perhaps you should attach the FCW, so we can see what is going on.
I am using a PNG from FT3, with all the sculpting. I, mistakenly, thought I could use the Annual 155 template when I created a new map file, to get the altitude legend. That definitely did not work; creating the file did not ask for the map resolution, so the scaling is all wrong.
No, it wouldn't ask for a resolution. I was thinking along the lines of a standard export to CC3 operation, where the resolution is quite important and can be edited in the export settings.
There's no reason you can't use the 155 template. Just bear in mind that it won't be your average 1000 x 800 mile new map when it opens.
