new fill symbol

I thought I knew how to do this but I either never knew or have forgotten.

I have created a small tile symbol and would like it to show up as a symbol in the list of symbols to fill with - any ideas or tutorials you can point me to?

thanks Monsen! I was not trying to make a bitmap fill style but I'll give that technique a try.

It's pretty straightforward for a vector symbol fill.

First, make sure the symbol existing in the drawing.
Second, go to FillStyles (click on the box in the upper right corner that says FS: ....) select the "Symbol Fills" tab
Third, create a new style (click the New button) and name it what you want
Fourth, select the symbol you want from the pull-down in the middle of the dialog box -- this lists symbols in the file itself
Fifth, play with the symbol spacing until you get the tiling you want -- you will have to set the "Sample Width" to something larger than your spacing -- it doesn't affect the fill itself, only what you can see as the sample in the box.
Sixth, click OK when it looks as you want. You can now select this as your fill.
