Missing fills - CA177 Darklands City
I am in the early plotting stages of designing a city, and am considering Darklands City. I noticed that there are four fills that appear to be missing. They appear in the dropdown list of fills, but I get the red X's in both the display and on the map if I try to use them. For example:
The four missing fills are:
- CA177 Parchment
- CA177 Roof Lead
- CA177 Roof Stone Pitched
- CA177 Roof Stone Ridge
I do have the CA177 Roof Stone (flat) fill. Not sure if the Pitched and Ridged ones are different?
Is this my error, or a known issue? Should I re-download and reinstall that Annual? Did those fills come in from different annuals that I don't have, but they'll show up if I buy those annuals? (I do have the annual with Beaumaris Castle, which I know has both a parchment and Roof Lead fill, so maybe it's supposed to reference that one? But if so, it should be showing up, shouldn't it, unless there was an issue with the order I installed the annuals?)
Comments
Have you checked the actual directory structure to make sure where the annual is installed? I would also look inside the folder to see if the naming of the files is as expected.
These fills were accidentally included in the template.
During development there are many fills that don't work properly or are too similar to others to be worth the space. These get weeded out of the fills folder towards the end of the process, but sometimes I forget to throw them out of the fill style list.
Sorry for any confusion.
If their presence bothers you it does no harm to delete them in the fill styles list. That's the job I forgot to do.
Okay, that's the answer I was hoping to hear (that is: not my fault!). Still need a nice, wooden fill but I think there's one in CD3 Bitmaps A, which the Darklands City mapping guide noted was a complimentary style.
