That's pretty good for a first map :)
You can control the resolution by picking the Options button in the Save as dialog once you have chosen which type of bitmap you want to export.
What a fun map! Flying islands and floating islands. (Are they floating, or am I misreading it?) I almost missed the fortress entrance at the base of the island lowest on the map.
My first map had a flying castle, so we're on the same wavelength.
