Hi all

Is there a way to fix the scale of the bitmaps so the images do not resize as you zoom in and out. For example; if you use the fens bitmap and zoom out - less fen symbols appear - when you zoom in more appear. Its very hard to get an idea of what he finished map will look like and a problem if the symbols do not fit the scale of your map.

I have a separate-but-related question. I'm playing with new bitmaps, and having a great time. But I'm often surprised by the scale at which they display. Is there a guide somewhere that I've missed that sheds some light on the scaling/tiling mysteries?

It's not that the tiles aren't working, it's jsut that I don't understand what's really going on, so I have touble setting up the various bitmaps.

To answer both your questions, if the fens you are using is a true bitmap (generated from a PNG or BMP file), you can fix the scale. Go to the Fill Style Properties box, select the Bitmap Files tab, select the fill style you are using from the drop down list and check the Scaled box at the bottom after setting a height and a width for the image.
