Is is possible to search and temporarily group assets?

Let's say I want to find all instances of keeps in my symbols. I know I can search with the symbol style toggle (or even use windows search on the folders icon above the symbols but accessing them is one symbol set/directory at a time.
Is there a way to do such a search and combine all the symbols into a temporary structure automatically so I can see all the symbols that match my search in the software all together instead of having to look at the results one at a time?
Hope that makes sense!

Unfortunately, no.
You can always build your own symbol catalog that just contain all these results if you find you keep searching for the same thing over and over, but you would have to manually build the catalog in the first place, there isn't a way to easily construct it from search results.
Thanks for confirming what I thought. Too bad though. Maybe they'll add a better way to do it in CC4 if that ever comes out.
I certainly agree - it would nice if the folders for annuals etcetera were better organised and symbols were easier to find. I tend not to use styles as is amd spend ages hunting for a suitable symbol such as a statue. Bring it on in CC4
I make, as an example, a village map for a particular nation in my game world. Then I go into the symbol manager and save those symbols as a symbol catalog,.fsc
Next time I make a village in that nation, I load that fsc and start mapping.
Edit. Fixed a sentence.
That's a clever idea when working on the same style over an extended period. Not quite what I was looking for (the single map situation) but a really great tip for building consistent maps in a world. Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome.
