City Designer drawing dimensions

Does anyone have a personal shorthand for sizes of settlements? Particularly for pseudo-medieval, typical fantasy sorts of locations.
I've got some concept of what size a dungeon level should generally be, and likewise I think I've got a reasonable grip on figuring out sizes for regional maps, but I realized I've got nothing for villages, towns, and cities.
Thanks!

I have cities and towns on my Crestar site. I don't really think of population sizes when I make them.
On my cellphone so I can't look it up, but a link to information on population sizes was posted here years ago.
This might help.

Keep in mind that people had to walk so that really limits the size of settlements if you want it to be reasonable. There are 30-120 people per acre depending on the density of the settlement. One square mile is 640 aces. So a max population of 76,800 for a sq mile city. London and Paris had peek populations in the 30,000-40,000 for this period.
This blog post might also be useful:
It doesn't mention directly sizes, but rather the layouts that resulted.
This is a "classic" often quoted in RPG circles

I find this site very helpful to help get my mind around the project before starting:
