Well, probably boring to most folks, but I have only 39 of the 70 columns of surface maps left to correct, fix, update, etc.
Of the world all maps on my site, 1 through 6 are done as above on the columns. That leaves world all maps 7 through 14 to fix left.
Whew. Anyway.
When I get all of this done, I will start working on trade routes and probably migration routes as well.
Not sure how much longer it will take, 4 columns of surface maps the past 2 days, 1 last weekend. So I am not going to predict how much longer this will take. Hopefully all of the above will be done before year end.
Thanks to anyone who stops by my web site. Crestar
I had to take the comment form mail off my site due to the spammers.

I will probably take a few breaks in there and start adding detail to towns, etc.
So I am changing over to another blog/cms called textpattern. Seems much easier to work with. Sigh, but the importer didn't copy all categories nor all entries/articles over. So I have to retype categories into the blog and copy paste the entries.
Going to take me a long while I suppose. This means a temporary suspension of fixing the surface map urls and maps.
My apologies for making you folks wait even longer, but I think the end result will be a much improved site.
If you want to look over the new site it is at: Crestar new site same sub-domain. updated link on Nov 7, 2016.
I did notice that on this page, the maps don't show up to much further down the window below the right side navigation bar (there's a huge "white space" in between, at least for me in Firefox 3.5.7.

Edit:
All done.
Oh, site loads slow for some reason, about 7 to 9 seconds per page. Attempting to find out why. My other sites at the same domain load quickly. Crestar does have a large number of categories though...
So I have implemented the twinhelix.com menu I use on other parts of the site. Load time for a page has dropped from 10-14 seconds to 0.57 seconds.
Any urls in here with 'crest_of_a_star/year number/month number' are now 'crestar/articles' and the .html is gone from the end of the link.
The link to the new blog is at: http://crestofastar.drivein-jim.net/crestar updated Nov 7, 2016.
I suggest using the menu bar on the site for site navigation.
All urls in my textpattern cms/blog have been corrected to only lead to the new cms/blog. No more Movable Type blog on that site.
Textpattern doesn't handle categories very well, so there is no long category list on the sidebar. But I do have the posts in a database list of categories. Several plugin authors for Textpattern have posted they are working on faster category plugins. Time will tell.
I'll go over my links here, and correct them. Lots of typing at work this past week, so my fnigers hurt. It will take me a bit of work to fix my urls here, but its only fair I do so.
I'll post in this thread when I have fixed them.
I am working on it, so in the mean time if you try a page on my site and you get a 404, look at the url and change that one word. Hopefully it will then work for you.
If not, please let me know.
Thanks.
My hands hurt, lots of typing at work this past week, so I think I will get out of the house and take a break from typing.
Sorry, I have to take a break.
Later.
If you go there and spot a problem, please let me know here.
Oh, I realize the central area of the blog seems to have a dynamic width and therefore maps and text sometimes show up further down the page than they should.
Thanks for your help.
