I got so busy doing things and having various household appliances break down on me (like the boiler - just before the coldest week so far) that I forgot to show you the example map I did for Sinister Sewers, which was published yesterday as the March issue of the 2024 Cartographer's Annual.
I know there's a huge gap between the last image I posted and this one, but that's just the way life happened to me right at the end of developing this style.
@DaltonSpence - if you just want to use the symbols all you have to do is open the Sinister Sewer's catalog in your existing map. These are located at C:\ProgramData\Profantasy\CC3Plus\Symbols\Dungeons\2024 Sinister Sewers. Remember to open the catalogue file (filename.FSC), or the connecting symbols won't work.

Brass ?
What's brass, Jim?
I thought I saw in this thread the word 'bass' for metal. I was asking if brass was meant instead.
I think it must have been one of those moments when the eyes miss a letter. Julian was on about brass earlier.
Should the top end of a carnivorous root be blunt and black in section like a pillar, fade out, or something else?
Blunt as it is pretending to be a remnant of a tree. Maybe with a gray instead of black.
I prefer a fade out.
yes, I would prefer fade out as well
A break in the wall and it issues out of a small black opening surrounded by cracked stones/bricks.

Still reeling from the shock that the style wasn't called "Sinister Suers", naturally 😉!
Superlative work, Sue! Can't wait to see your next one.
LOL!
And thank you :)

Oh! Thank you for the tip about how to get the connecting symbols to work in another map. That's what I was doing wrong!
