Is there an easy way to find a symbol? (Like a flag)
I keep getting lost trying to find symbols when using the software. Is there an easy search field I have overlooked?
BTW, I'm trying to find a flag-something to highlight a spot on my map where an event occurred. If you know where one is, I'd be very appreciative.

I wrote a blog article about ways to search symbols:
If you're doing overland mapping, there are generally symbols available for marking spots on the map in the Borders/Political
category.

I am finding that downloading the free content from the annuals and everything has the symbols and "stuff" in a horrible tangle. I don't know what I has did wrong, but your blog article is helping
