Adjacent maps

When making smaller, regional maps, how are adjacent maps handled, to keep continuity between those that touch the new map and the new region? I was thinking of doing the initial copy, paste, and cleanup of the new region, then copying the edge of the adjacent region and doing the same, then doing the rest of the region edit. Is that reasonable or is there a more common way?
I guess I could also just redraw the common section and tell myself different people made the maps so of course they don't match up perfectly.

You could do it either way.
It might seem more natural to have them not perfectly matching if your world isn't the kind of place where cartographer's work together as a disciplined team, but less practical if things don't match up when players cross from one map to the next.
Look on my Crestar site for one method on doing that.
Can't get the link to work from my cellphone for some reason.
Here is the page. Sorry I didn't post this yesterday, but we were working in the yard and I'm rather tired.
There are 4 parts.
@JimP Thank you!
