Sheet Question

Ugh this is frustrating. I need to draw terrain over the river/water sheet but it keeps on going below that sheet. My terrain sheet is gone for some reason.. and no it's not hidden. When I make a new sheet called terrain, it gives me an error when I want to use terrain. Any idea how to draw over the river's/lake/water sheet with terrain? For some reason I can't figure it out. -- Can't draw land over it either =\

The reason why this may be weird to some.. is that when I edit my map.. I use the lake from the rivers to draw over land that I don't need and edit it later in photoshop and I have this part exactly perfect and I couldn't figure out any other way.

The default terrain tools place their entities on the "LAND*" Sheet. That is, any sheet beginning with the word LAND. So if you make a new sheet, for example, "LAND, OVER STUFF", move it to the appropriate location in the sheet order, and then make sure this is the active sheet before selecting the terrain tool, the terrain you draw should end up on that sheet.

I did exactly what you did.. and it doesn't work. No land/terrain will go over it. However.. symbols will. If terrain would just work! lol

I know why... It's because I imported another piece of another map into this new map as a png symbol and I had to enlarge it quite a bit. That's why it's disappearing. Because the space between the "box" and the symbol is empty and the terrain/land is getting lost in there... any way around it?

You would need to either move the LAND, OVER STUFF Sheet above the SYMBOLS sheet, or create a new SYMBOLS, MY BIG ONE Sheet and move the symbol in the way to that Sheet.

FINALLY! It worked! Thanks Jaerdaph and Monsen! I still don't know the whole program but the way I do stuff on here is probably very unorthodox compared to you guys lol

Unorthodox? Not necessarily - there is a reason we've become familiar with how to do and fix this stuff after all.
