Registration email doesn't deliver?

I'm trying to register my email for an account so I can activate my software. When I put in my email address for the registration it took me to a page stating I would need to click on the link in the verification email that was sent, but the email never delivered. I checked and made sure I put in the email address correctly, and now I can't do anything at all without it diverting me to that message. I was able to register my email address for the forums with no problem and that email delivered right away, but not the one I need to be able to verify my account and activate my software. I can't even request technical support because I have to already be a registered user. What's going on? What do I do about this?

    Profantasy folks do post here.

Have you checked your spam filters ?

I don't know why one email would show up, but not the other one.

Yeah, the first place I checked when it wasn't in my normal inbox was my junk folder. I still haven't gotten the email. I even got the email saying I had a reply to this thread. The page that gives me the message says "ProFantasy Registration: Error" and I have no idea why. Something went wrong with the registration and I'm not able to do anything to retry it because it just diverts to the message about needing to go through the verification email on the error page.

I am sure you will get the guys from ProFantasy on here in a little while to help. It is probably still quite early for them though (European time)

Use the Order desk email from the contact page. That's a regular email address which you don't have to have a user to use.

    Hi!

I've manually validated your account. Please try to log in with your email and the password you set: https://www.profantasy.com/service/entrance.asp

Not sure why you didn't receive the email, our server seems to send them out fine. Outlook may be blocking them before they even get to your inbox, they've done that in the past.

Bizarrely, I received 13 separate verification emails between 3 and 10 this morning. Each had a different verification code. I have no idea why that would have happened and why I would not have gotten one in the first place.

I logged into my account and got in with no trouble, so thank you very much, I appreciate it!

The internet e-mail system is implemented as a store-and-forward system, which means that it's possible to get a congested route and have an intermediate e-mail server hold onto your mails for an arbitrary amount of time. When things clear up, a huge burst of e-mail arrives. One of the great joys of how well it usually works is that we get accustomed to e-mails arriving within a few seconds to a few minutes and forget that the delivery guarantee is officially "maybe".

Email has improved over what it was when I first started using it in 1987. Its all better now. Much better.
