Export to Rectangular PNG Problem

I was trying to export a section of a space station I'm designing to PNG (it was roughly based on the Pentagon in shape and size) and the rendering aborted part way through.
I think this must be a memory problem of some sort. Is there a way I can increase the size of the buffer used?

There may also be something else going on with the exporter. I was just trying to save a rectangular jpeg, and while it did save it did so as a .bmp but also added a .jpg extension (filename.bmp.JPG). The second time I tried it worked correctly, seemingly, but when I tried to open as an image overlay in Fractal Terrains it did not recognize the image. It's there in my Windows Explorer, FT just doesn't see it.
I then tried with a new rectangular .png, and got the same results - FT isn't recognizing the export as an image file. But on my computer it opens just fine in Affinity Photo and in GIMP.
(I recognize that this may also be completely unrelated to Dalton Spence's issue, and if so please let me know and I'll open a new thread so as not to be hijacking this one).
If either of you are exporting a really large bitmap it might be just on the borderline of being too big. Sometimes cearing the cache in the Display Speed Settings helps.
that .bmp.jpg ending is when it doesn't finish.
Gotcha - thanks, Jim!
In my case, it looks like there's something about the folder I've got it saved in that FT doesn't play well with. I moved it to my desktop and FT "saw" it just fine.
(Sorry for the hijack, @DaltonSpence - we now return you to your regularly scheduled OP question...)
It's not one of those things I ever mess with. How big is your export?
The other thing is that just looks really strange. It might not have anythig to do with export size if you haven't tried for really large.
Any chance of the FCW so we can have a play?
I may post the FCW in a different thread since it's a large station and a I'll have trouble filling it up.
You aren't, by chance, saving the ft3 output files to C:\Program Files are you ?
Windows doesn't like that.
Oh, I misunderstood. Sorry.
It should make the same number of passes either way, unless you changed the size or resolution of the export in Options between exports.
