It's an area in square map units. In an overland map that will be miles if it is imperial, or kilometres if its metric. In city or dungeon maps map units are always either feet in imperial, or metres in metric.
Thank you. It seemed like that would be the case, but I'm really, really terrible at this.
Don't worry about it. My early maps will never see the light of day as I had no one to talk to. The early maps on my Crestar site are an improvement.
No one is fantastic at CC3 right at the outset ;)
