Odd behavior for layer
All,
I'm cleaning up a project and trying to move all of my buildings to the Buildings layer from wherever they are. I'm pretty sure I moved them (right click change properties, select change layer, select entities, do it, and select target layer) because after doing so, if I select my Building layer and freeze all other layers, the buildings on the Building layer are manipulable - I can copy, move, and so on, those things and all else is frozen.
But if I hide all other layers, all of the buildings (and by buildings, I mean building symbols pulled from various FSCs) disappear too. I have a couple of hand-drawn things in the Building layer - a dock, a couple of fenced-in areas for which I simply drew lines - and they remain visible.
This seems like this should be something with a simple solution - something really basic I'm doing wrong - but for the life of me I'm not sure what...
Thoughts?
And in advance, thanks!
- Bill

When you hide ALL other layers, you also hide the symbol definition layer, which cause all symbols to be hidden, no matter what layer they are on.
Brilliant! That's just what it was and unhiding the symbol definition layer fixed things...
Thank you!!!
