Issue with erasing on Cosmographer
Hi,
This is probably a stupid question but.....how do you erase a planet??
I'm relatively experienced with CC3 but new to using Cosmographer to produce a Traveller Sector map. I've mis-located a planet and need to erase it, so as per other CC3 clicked the Eraser but it has no effect. I asked a friend who also uses it and we screen shared on Discord to make sure I'm not being an idiot, but whilst he can erase I can't.
We compared the Layers options and we both have the same, I even sent a copy of the map to him just in case it was an issue with file but he was able to erase as normal on it, but when sent back to me I still can't.
It is probably a very obvious solution but it's got me stumped, so any help would be gratefully accepted.
PS.
Just checked a deckplan I'm working on and have the same issue with that, so it is clearly not just the map file, and probably something in my settings???

Type Era and select. If you can't select, hide the hexagon layer. Then try to select it.
If that doesn't work, please post the fcw.
Refreshed to make sure I have the most recent version and still no joy.
This may be relevant or not. When i open this file I get a message stating the file was created with software version 3.98 but this software number version is 3.94. It recommends downloading teh latest version, which I did earlier.
If your version number says 3.94, you don't have the latest version. Re-run the latest update (Update 28). Your version number should say 3.98.
OK so update has been run and that message no longer appears, but still no erase functionality.
There are two main things that can cause erase to misbehave:
If none of this helps, I suggest you contact support through your registered user pages.
Gave it all a go and still no joy so will try with the Support option.
Many thanks for your help and patience all, it is very much appreciated.
I downloaded the fcw and I can erase planets. I also noticed you have a ( at the beginning of the filename.
All of the planets are on the Worlds layer. So frozen isn't it.
With all sheets except Symbols hidden, I was able to erase all planet symbols.
My suggestion is you might be accidentally selecting the grid. Zoom in until you get just the hexagon with the isplaced planet in the view, and try deleting it then.
@travellingred
Let us know which planet, one of us can erase it, and upload the updated fcw.
