Move/Scale/Rotate frames are gone

Hello,
Usually when I use the Move, Rotate, or Scale function, the program shows me a frame outline of the entity I'm manipulating to give me a clue about what the change will look like. However, suddenly it's only showing me a directional line from my initial point. If I'm using rotate, the position indicator on the status bar turns red and starts to show me the angle I've currently selected with my mouse. While that would be good and helpful in some circumstances, at the moment I need the visual feedback of the entity outline instead.
I must have accidentally found a shortcut key to activate this behavior... Can anybody tell me how to make it behave in the old/default way?
Thanks! - Greg

Try hitting the TAB key when you are in the middle of the operation.
@Loopysue It prompted me about aligning an edge of the entity to another. Which is a cool option I didn't know existed (yay!). But it didn't bring back the frames.
Here's a screen shot of the behavior, in case that helps diagnose what's going on:
You probably have attach enabled (button lower right)
You need to hit TAB just after you Do It, to move/rotate etc - and without Attach enabled as Remy pointed out.
Interesting... I was mostly trying to get Rotate to work, and the TAB didn't help there (or in Scale), but when I hit the TAB in the middle of the Move command, it did bring the frames back-- thank you!
For future reference, is there a name for this "frameless" mode?
