I'm generally terrible about updating WIP threads, but I'll go ahead and throw one up so I've got a place to do so when I remember.
Here's the building I'll be mapping:
I've started with the Forlorn Cottage style, but who knows where I'll end up… 🙂

Well, I spent way more time working on this today than I intended to…
Wow! I'm going to have to up my pace to keep up with this.
I added a border, changed the text just a little to reflect a revised vision of the extradimensional space and what it encompasses.
Unless there are any suggestions for improvement - any and all of which are welcome and encouraged - I'm calling this part of the map complete. If I don't get the inn and bazaar mapped before the deadline I'll submit just this part as my entry.
Well, I fibbed. Just a little. Callum Cullfeather grew a little in my mind, and I needed to add just a bit to the map text. This led to resizing the background and the text box to accommodate the new words, which then led to rewording a few parts so that it fit in the box in a way that's more pleasing to my eye.
Here is the latest "final" version…
All looks really good :)
I think the rug might need to go on the SYMBOLS FLAT sheet ;)
Thanks, Sue.
I moved the rug, but then had to adjust the glow effect. It's a tiny little home, and even on the SYMBOLS FLAT sheet the glow was pretty big. But when I did that it messed with the glow/shadows in the render, turning the from nice and soft to a hard horizontal line across the middle of the room. Now I can't get it to go back 😕.
SYMBOLS FLAT normally doesn't have any effects on it at all. Must be an unusual style choice.
Can you show us what it looks like - this hard line?
It's all Forlorn Cottage and Dungeons of Schley. Both of those appear to start with a Glow effect on the SYMBOLS FLAT sheet.
Here's the pic from after I moved the rug and tinkered with the glow.
You can see the difference between it and the previous one. Could this be unrelated to the glow at all, but instead be a result of the rendering process? I can't remember the details but I know I've read in other threads something about the number of passes the renderer makes or some such. I also can't remember the fix right off hand…
Yup, it's the rendering pass. Increase the pass size.
Yep, that did it. Thanks!
