possible to add lighting to an iso map ?

I don't want lighted areas and dark corners.

I would like a light in some of the rooms, so I can see the furniture etc. easier.

Thanks !

Lighting generally work very poorly in iso maps because the isometric projection is just a trick of the eye. The rooms doesn't actually have any depth, and in the style you are using, every room piece is a symbol. That means you can either have them behind the lighting, and have them lighted uniform (walls, corners, etc in the symbols will be completely ignored), or they can be set upt to block light, in which case it will be the entire symbol that acts as a light blocking entity, and not the walls in it. What further complicates things is that the shadows cast happen in 2D-space, not isometric space, so they won't fit very well either.

You may be able to achieve something using some experimentation and trickery, but you'll probably struggle getting things right.

Thanks. I was hoping it would be workable. Like putting a glow 'above ' a room. I can do it on a future map and see what is possible.

Edit. Maybe I could try putting a glow on symbols, but probably not.
