Edge fade for Default Terrain?

Hello all. Does anybody now wether this is possible? I've been trying to figure out how to edge fade desert terrain and I can't seem to get it right. I did a search and didn't find any discussions concerning it. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi there. In the CC3 default style the desert drawing tools place the deserts on the LAND sheet.

    To give them their own effects you will need to put the desert polygons on their own sheet. Use the Move to Sheet command (right-click the Sheets & Effects button) to do that. Then put the desert sheet in the correct place in the list of sheets, and add an effect "Edge Fade Inner" to it.
