Inbetween failed video takes distraction

From a year ago: The Rot - Gothenburg cathedral now in colour!
It's actually a little tempting to adopt a two-year cycle with the first being devoted entirely to sketches, followed up by colourizing. You know, slowing down the time to map completion even more!

Hi! Love it.
All your maps/drawing are beautifully unique. And this one looks perfect for a Vasen RPG session.
@Lillhans Looks great, Anders! Has such a cool water colory look to it. Am I right in reading your cryptic reference to failed video takes as a hint for an upcoming tutorial on your innovative style? My fingers are crossed, but I'll try to be patient. Keep up the good stuff.
How youtubers push out videos on a weekly basis I will never know. Editing probably helps. But still! Good grief...
Maybe we just don't see the mistakes because we didn't make them?
There is that, of course. But these would fall into the planetary-defence-grid-just-kicked-in-and-lit-up-the-sky-category. 😆
@Lillhans Maybe youtubers have a lot of extra time on their hands, or maybe they just don't have a life away from the internet like some of the rest of us. Who knows? Anyway, even a little glimpse at a failed video attempt of yours might be just enough for us to take a peek under the lid of Pandora's box. It doesn't have to be perfect. After all, beggars can't be choosers, as they say. So, stiff upper lip and press on to the goal . . . please!
I know of the ones I watch do 3 history videos per week. Mostly about what I think of as obscure parts of the past.
Video shows, like many public performance activities, require a lot of preparation and practice at first, but they do become easier with increased experience. You might find it helpful to start from a script - even a rough sketch of the things you need to cover and in what order - to help get the pattern of what you're wanting to do fixed in mind, and then try running it through a few times to see how it works without recording, what the timing's like, and so forth. Even then, you may find it needs several takes to get the video right, which of course is where editing comes in. Plus post-production editing can add written captions or diagrams for things needing extra emphasis or explanation. The whole is a very time-consuming process overall, so you should be prepared to spend several days at least (or the equivalent amount of time spread over a longer while) getting to the point where you're happy with it.
Once you've done a few such videos, you should find it's getting a lot easier, and taking less time and effort in advance, which of course is how regular video shows operate.
@Lillhans What everyone is saying, and I'm with them, is get your a... into gear and do that video. And perfection is not required. If you can do these maps in your style, you sure can get a video out.
The alternative is to do a sort of joint session with Monsen or Ralf. Perhaps as a star guest, leaving them to do the video bits
Got around to starting a map. Did not finish it, of course, but the video is getting uploaded once I figure out how to set up timestamps.
