This week, I will be having a look at symbol editing. I've touched on it a bit in several of my earlier streams, but let us make it the focus of a stream, and not just a random detail.
As usual, the stream commences at 1800 hours CET, on Thursday the 7th of October. (If you are logged in to the forum, the time in the forum sidebar should be correct for your timezone, otherwise click the video and let YouTube give you the local time.)

30 minute shout :)
For the first time, I had nothing else to do... and it just slippped my mind.
Ah, well. I can still watch it on YouTube.
First thing I thought of when seeing the red circle on a house was the old city maps with a 'you are here' dot.
Well, I guess that ended up in a split personality the way things went after that......
Yup. That would be confusing.
Not that all of the city/shopping mall maps were accurate.
Remy,
This episode was awesome. I learned a great deal.
Really appreciate it, man.

Thanks @Calibre . Then the stream fulfilled it's purpose, good to hear.
Thanks to you @Monsen !
I do have one question (please, let me know if this is the right place to follow up on the video):
You said that if you try to insert a symbol into a symbol, it could create problems. But, would I also face problems if I insert and explode a symbol?
Good point @roflo1 . Inserting and then exploding it is perfectly fine. What you don't want is a symbol reference inside a symbol definition, but exploding it takes care of that.
Just to clean up, you can finish up by going into symbol manager (with your symbol editing window open and active) and hit purge to purge the symbol from the definition, since the definition will still remain behind even after exploding
Wow, thanks for this bit, @Monsen And even more, thanks for a superb and much needed tutorial
