Maybe a darker blue? Or maybe use a darker colour for the text itself. At the moment the white and pale blue merges and makes the scale bar look blurry.
Update on Deck 04. Mostly Engineering and a Bunk area.
I'll see if I can find a vari-color scale of the same or similar type, make it black and with a white outer glow. But its raining and I'm taking a break.
I'm not sure what to make the unlabelled areas, or if I should sub-divide more, change the text, etc. <- is one big reason I haven't added symbols to all rooms.
It seems to me the most critical things should be in the center of the ship. Bunks on the outside should be moved to the center so if they hull is compromised, they don't put the sleeping crew into space.
Where is the fuel for the power plant? Or is some magic stuff?
You might want storage around the perimeter to serve as a radiation barrier (another reason to have the crew in the center)?
The irregular profile of the hull looks more like an asteroid than something built in a shipyard. That's fine because asteroid hulls are a believable option but if you want to go that route the external texture should be some form of rock rather than "Hull, Battered".
I haven't envisioned it as they did; however, the pdfs don't say much other than there is a ring for gravity, a ramp from the ring to the rest of the ship, and the command decks are at the front/top of the original ship.
My opinion is that the ship design is open to interpretation. The pdf talks about how it has been modified from the original Nauvoo. That some parts are still under construction. This is from 'Beyond the Ring' publication number GRR6608e_v1
I once tried to map the rotating space station using a startup macro to generate the empty deck sections at different levels but the project proved to be too big. (See below.) [WIP] Old School Space Station from “2001: A Space Odyssey” The photo picture above looks sort of like an O'Neill design (like B5) which implies a large empty space at the center.
Right, I know about the O'Neil cylinders. L5 and L4. I bought a book, probably lost in a move, about 1970 that mention his ideas with illustrations.
But from the description in the pdf, the clear dome area was so the people operating the Nauvoo wanted to see visually where they were going. With the other decks oriented differently.
I'll be making decisions later this week on combining some of my sub-domains. I'll try and go back to earlier posts, probably not more than a year or two, and edit the links.
Links spread everywhere, including in search engines. It is usually better to set up some server-side redirect to either redirect people to the new location for the exact page they were looking for, or if that isn't available due to reorganization, at least the correct section.

Preliminary Deck 04 of Medina Station.
I chose a light blue effect for the map scale. ideas on a better color effect ? Or leave it the way it is ?

I wasn't sure. I'll work on it.

Deck 04, more.

Looking for suggestions. Thanks.
Where are the elevators between decks?
What is repaired in the repair center.

Where is O2 and H2O tanks?
Shuttle Bays?
This is deck 4 of about 30 decks. I have elevators on decks 1, 2, and 3. I need to figure out where they would be on deck 4.
Shuttle bays, and most air locks, are much further down.
Repair center would be repairs on anything on the first four decks.
fixed a few typos.
Thanks Jim.
You're welcome.
Not quite certain how I'm going to line up the floor elevators, so that may have to wait. each deck is larger as I go down into the hull.
Update on Deck 04.
It's quite small scale to see the details, Jim. Maybe show is progress shots of the bits you've changed each time?
Yeah, the deck is 400 feet long, and deck 3 is 250 feet long.
I'll get to it when I can, camping next week.
Medina Station was originally a generation ship. It became a station when the ring was found.
Edit. I'll look again at the pdfs, but I think it was metal instead of a hollowed out asteroid.
The TV show (which had the two guys who wrote the books on the writing staff, and they were listened to) showed it as a purpose built hull.

This seems to be the most common drawing.
Here is Deck 04, in 4 parts.

That is the page I found in my web search. I'm not sure how I'll map the rotating ring.

I'm not going to try the clear dome.
This wont affect my maps here, but I have been thinking about combining various of my websites. I just have too many. About 18 or so...
Traveller, Space Frontiers, and The Expanse can be on one site, with menus directing to each one.
What about combining them all into one webpage with lots of tabs?
The menus I use could get very cumbersome which is why I decided to combine similar topics.
I'll be heading out camping Thursday morning. So if an answer requires me looking at the software, I won't be able to assist with those.
Have fun!
A bit foggy out at the campground.
Back from the camping trip, too tired to map today.

Unfortunately, people are still searching for a drive-in movie theater website I had 10 years ago, I haven't had for 6 .
I see it on my domain logs.
Edit
The site was thousands of html pages, people still search for them.
