How to take some part of your map into another (new) one?

Greetings all.
I have used (just not too much) CC2 and now i´m a proud owner of CC3. I´m currently making a big fantasy world map - my campaign one, then i realized i wanted to make smaller, more detailed maps for every country i have in there.
I was hoping that CC3 let me "cut" some part of the map and "paste" it into a new made map, but for example i want to take some continent part, just not all continent. Is there any way of "selecting" some part of your maps and copy them into a new map? Is there ANY way of just copying parts of your maps into another ones? Thanks in advance.
PS: i just checked the manual and i found one part talking about it about the editting and using Trace - pages 40 and 41-, but even with the example i didn´t get it well (English isn´t my native language so it makes it even harder to understand).

The basic premise behind this is simply to copy the elements you wish to the new map, then use the cut and trim commands to remove everything outside the map border of your smaller map, then using fractalize to add more details to the zoomed-in map.
