Just thought I would share some progress on a world I am slowly picking at. My D&D group currently plays on this world.
Keep in mind all of the areas are works in progress and these are snapshots of a larger map.
Feedback is always welcome, as this is how I learn how to improve.

I really like the floating island in the Wurm Wastes. Nice effects. And the cliff coastline in the bottom map is good.
I'm not sure about the mountain placement. Ranges don't usually form circular shapes, so they feel a bit unnatural. However, since there's clearly a lot of work involved here You could always say they are 3 supervolcano calderas. Maybe that's what you meant them to be anyway, in which case they are perfect.
You're spot on with the mountain placement. I definitely did not use any earth references for the layout. The decision was partly from a game perspective of keeping my players hemmed in to a certain area for a time, but it has grown into more of a sort of feature of the world, either a hint of weird stuff happening under ground or unnatural formation. Definitely does not emulate natural mountain formations.
I like the mountains as they are, even if they are a little unnatural. The ranges around the Rumbling Basin, in particular, remind me strongly of the mountains of Mordor; it feels very homey. ?
Yes, Mordor's mountains are completely weirdly rectangular compared to Earth's. Plus in a fantasy setting, you can always invoke some ancient powerful magic if needs-be to explain any seeming "anomalies"! ?♀️
I got the impression of an impact crater... :)
