I spend most of my time working on B&W. I decided to test out doing things in color for the contest.

I always love to see people trying new things. Looks like a nice start :)
My original intention was to do a fire and ice dungeon set in Peredur. The idea was a set of glacial caves that then descended into the volcano part. However, I am liking the blue color more. Not sure which direction to go.
Both look good to me
I like the top one, but both look good :)
I'm torn between the two. They're both very fine.
I'm biased here, but go with the ice floe!?⛄️❄️
I think I like the ice flow better, but you were too late. I was already working on the lava one. Only a few days left to try and complete it. Starting to populate the map. The border is not showing with the exports anymore for some reason. Each export now requires me to keep lowering the resolution and size to post it :P
Looking good :)
Have you considered making the grid a little less visible?
I haven't messed with the grid settings yet. I will see about playing with them in the next version I do.
Try adding a Transparency effect on the GRID sheet and set it to about 50% opacity. If you already have one there it might need a little less opacity. Black grids are very prominent.
The grid was already 50%. I reduced it. One odd thing is that I cannot get the border to show. I was on the wrong sheet. I moved it to the map border sheet. It is still not showing. If I change it to not restrict to the map border, then it shows. However, white areas outside of the map border also show.
The map border may be two problems depending on what you mean. The decorative frame of the map (if there is one) should be on a sheet at the bottom of the list, and the name of that sheet doesn't really matter. Some styles can be a bit confusing and have a map border sheet, when what they really mean is a frame.
The real map border is a set of 4 lines defining the extent to be exported and should always be on the MAP BORDER layer (layer, not sheet) and may be on any sheet, but is most usually hidden on the BACKGROUND sheet if the decorative frame is not also the map border.
So hide all your layers except the MAP BORDER and see if there is anything there.
Once you have either edited the MAP BORDER to the correct extent, or drawn one if there isn't one, you need to check the "Restrict image to map border" box in the Save as... Options before CC3 will crop to it.
