Lines Arcs Paths and Multipolies
Hi all,
Searched the forums, but could not find a definite answer.
I have a several lines and arcs I want to connect to create a path. When doing that the arcs become straight lines. Changing them to multipolies keeps them as real curves, but creates "leaks" as the arcs and line do not connect exactly.
To be sure I tried in 2 creation orders - creating the arc after the lines are in place, and drawing the arc and then attaching line on its end. The arcs where created using the "start,end, bulge" mechanism. The arcs/lines were drawn using the "Endpoint" modifier so in theory the lines should all connect.
The "Smooth path" used elsewhere in the drawing, connected correctly to the lines.
So....
1) What is the best practice here?
2) Is there a way to control the number of straight lines an arc turns into when it is changed into a path?
Thanks,
Avi
PS. is there a search command that to give only answers that contain ALL keywords, but not next to each other? (e.g. + in Google so +Arc +Path)

With arcs you have to use Line to Path first. This has the slightly negative effect of generating a string of straight lines to replace the arc, but if the arc isn't so large in the map it's barely noticeable once you've got the rest of the drawing together.
You are almost there with this map. Just hide that Miscellaneous sheet with all the rest on it and right click the fractalize button to pick Line to Path and select the entire green line and do it. That will create a contiguous shape.
This drives a question for me that I think I may have asked before. Does using the ON button cause the different line/paths to be conneckted or merely drawn on top of each other
No. On doesn't connect the lines.
@Loopysue Thanks!
