How can I apply a political boarder along hexlines?

So I am building my first continental map with CC3+ and working with a hex map. I want to begin to apply political borders and I want to follow hex lines for this. I realize that such arbitrary and mathematical borders may not make sense from an in-universe perspective but I just want to keep things stupid simple for myself since this is quite literally my first map here.

I do like that, with snap on. Or I just draw with the line tool. The later can be a problem, but I found it easier to shift borders if I wanted to make changes later.

You'll need to follow the hex lines manually with the border tool. But if you work with the snap grid on, it should be easy enough to place the nodes exactly at the hex corners.

So, thank you Monsen and JimP I read your answers and pushed buttons and somehow accidentally got the results I wanted.
You're welcome. I have used Monsen's method to.
