Problems with CA168B (City Cliffs 2) sample maps
Great to see the release of Sue's additional cliff pieces in this year's extra CA issue, just out.
Unfortunately, there are problems with both the sample maps, as when opening them, I'm getting a LOT of red Xs - and yes, I have CD3 installed.
The Varon rock Limestone cliffs.FCW map is basically nothing but red Xs, and appears to contain only three entities all on the BACKGROUND LAND Layer (weirdly, there isn't even a MAP BORDER entity of any sort).
The Varon rock Sandstone cliffs.FCW is though essentially complete, except for an identical set of three entities to the Limestone map on the BACKGROUND LAND Layer which are showing as red Xs.
A quick comparison of the List parameters suggests it's the CA168B Sandstone rubble and CA168B Limestone rubble fills on each corresponding map which are missing. The fills are present in the Tiles folder under CC3+, so it looks like the problem's with the wrong file-paths being used (although the Limestone cliffs map is obviously not the correct map).
Hopefully, this can be resolved fairly easily, but I imagine we'll all need to download it again to get it to work after the EXE file's been updated.

Oh dear! I will check that I did actually give Ralf the textures in question when it's morning.
Sue did, but Ralf messed up the folder structure in the setup file. I'll give him a stern talking to. The download is fixed now, you can either reinstall, or do the following fix:
And all before breakfast!
Thank you so much, Ralf :)
Just wonder why the new cliff set was added to its own cliff file, rather than added into City on a Rock annual symbols. If I do it, will I then be able to access all cliff types from within the one annual style?
The cliffs symbols are not their own style, they can and should be loaded up in any other style. Just load them up through the symbol catalog window. You can also combine them into the original catalog of course.
It's actually a good idea, and I will add that to the full setup for the 2020 Annual.
Great, thanks for that
Yay! No red Xs now!
Should we all reinstall it?
thanks
Cal
If you installed the old version before the fix, then yes (you'll notice that you have the old version by the fact that the example maps don't work properly).
Note that the full installer for the whole year is now out, so you could just as well grab that.
I think there was an additional fix promised for another Annual from the 2020 set as well, so it's probably worth reinstalling it anyway.
