Watched it. Very interesting process. My group is pretty much all digital these days, i.e. we use a monitor for map display when we're playing F2F, so it's not likely to get used by me but still, it was good to watch.
So many years passed and this software still surprises me from time to time. Awesome video!
Thanks people! I still take great joy (and pride) in the physical aspect of the hobby: Painting miniatures, crafting terrain and building paper models. Dioramas is very hand there, but of course it's not for everyone. If you want to see me messing physically with the result of yesterday'ss session you can do so in this timelapse video:

Thank you very much for following through on a viewer's request so incredibly fast.
I've been building papercraft models like this for decades, and have had Dio3 for a while, but have never got round to using it. So last evening's video was an excellent opportunity to see the program in action at last.
One addition in the making-up process which may be of interest for those less familiar with papercraft techniques would be to use appropriately-coloured fine-tipped marker pens (spirit-based types are preferable, as water-based ones can make inkjet prints run), paints with a fine brush (and again, not much water if using acrylics or watercolours), or coloured pencils to shade the white edges and overlapping panel backs (like those in Ralf's satellite dish) so the white card isn't so obvious in the final model. It's not essential, of course, but it can enhance the look for any especially important models.
Has anyone ever done CC Dioramas that were 'printed' with a CNC machine or 3D printer and assembled?
And you recognized my inspiration for these buildings right away! :D
Haven't done any 3D printing so I can't help there.
