Beginner Question about combining.

Is it possible to combine two maps? Or to bring one map "into"another? I map a detailed map of a graveyard that I'd like to place outside a town. I have a map of the town and surrounding area. Can I place the graveyard file into the town file? Or do I have to recreate the file?

    Draw menu -> insert file to place an existing map on another.

    Same procedure to combine (if you mean gluing to half maps together). In that case I would recommend contruction lines for accuracy. The map extends will be err... extended accordingly but map border and background will have to be changed manually.
