David Castedo A.ka. Medio
Guess i should post here...
Hey all, my name is David although i wrote as Medio (Medio Morto, an old Wow character... long story). I´m 49 years old and currently living in Santiago of Compostela, in Galicia (northwest Spain, think on a sunnier Ireland more than paellas, bulls and flamenco, btw. We´re proud celt heritage! Actually i´m relatively clear skined, 190 cms and light green eyes so far from latinos i guess...).
Studied Physics and Electronic Enginering, but left that life for alisting on the Spanish Navy to watch the seas and the lands. Been in 3 wars supposedly to save lives but in the between, i was shot, targetted with a machete, and alot of another funny experiences which lead me to a more comfortable life on teaching others what i learned ;).
Married with a little daughtrer, i own a small education company specialized in emergencies - fire training, DEA use, First Aid- etc.. On my free time, apart from trekking and enjoying landscapes, ive been playing games all my life, and still doing it. Learned from D&D on the university, but i have read Lord of the Rings at 7 years old and my mind has been always looking for distant lands.
Learned about CC2 few time after i discovered D&D, and as it took two of my greatest addictions, computers and RPGs, coupled with maps... Couldnt´resist! Although my gaming (and mapping) time has been reduced alot last years, still dwelve on this forum and try to keep on touch.
This is me, the tallest one at the left. This photo was made 3 years ago when one of my friends who are also my D&D players as im usually the DM, got married. One of us is a photographer which does alot of digital job so we dressed up accordingly to the time...

Love the image.
Nice to hear from a fellow Navy man, although you certainly have had a way more action-filled career than I ever did.
Love that photo. And your work as shown on the forum.
Second, well actually, third the comments on the photo. That is very cool and kind of what I think people who don't play, think we do (regarding the dressing up not so much the magical effects..).
Beautiful photo, David. Another interesting story!
Thank you for sharing :)
Well, I was young and actually wanted to help so I commited as a volunteer to the Balkans Wars... Thought as a navy man it would be safe but as I was part of the Emergencies Group Operations... Well, there were injured at land so from time to time I had to disembark. Still shivering with memories...
What a great story! And that photo is uber-cool. It reminded me of a pic that I did up but I'm not sure of the social niceties of posting one's own pics in another's thread so I'll put it up on mine :)
Go ahead and put it here!!
It would be a pity if you didn't post it on your own thread first, though.
Thanks - I put it here as well as in my own thread ;)
I decided to bring my Erdan map alogn with me on my travels!
Featuring a Realme X2 Pro custom cover.
That's so awesome! Did you have it put up on Redbubble or something?
Humm actually i dont remember where i bought it :D it´s one of these internet pages where you can make a customized phone protector. You could upload the image you wanted... and i wanted my map. I must say that the result was kinda good, it has good resolution and the names are perfectly readable. Futhermore, the protector itself is thin so it´s not only beautiful, but useful and i put it on everyday.
