[WIP] My World of Myirandios - revision using One Day Worldbuilder Annual
I am revising my Myirandios world, so I get a good equirectangular map, from which to derive better subdivisions for dong 1600x1600 km regional maps with. I will use the equirectangular versions for 30 deg N to 30 deg S, and then a different projection for areas closer to the poles. We will see how I go with that. The regional maps I will be doing in the Spectrum style - roll on November.
But first the World map.
To start with, I have fine tuned my original Myirandios map as follows via FT3. This is the version which will begin the whole process. Update tomorrow.

Well, I've run into a probem already. I saved the FT map as Special MDR file, and imported it into Wilbur (1.89 version).
This is what I got... (and when i continued to load the land and sea textures, the land was all dark gree, and all the sea was blue)
HELP (Sue, Ralf , Jo and Monsen)
I had the same problem.
In my case I was able to solve it by selecting everything between the height of 0 and 100000 and the using height clip to clip everything to 30000 feet at most. The I selectedt everyting form -100000 to -1 and used height clip to -30000 to -1
After repeating the whole process three times, everything was as it should be and I could continue.
Thanks, Theschabi, I'll try that and get back to you all. Bit late now - 12.11 am
Don't worry - most people seem to get these issues with hand crafted worlds. It's not just you
