[WIP] Community Atlas - topographical map of Nibirum
The community project started with the FT3 world (1)
Shessar created the great CC3+ world map (2)
...and my aim was to transfer the CC3+ back to FT3 to make it more consistent with the CC3+ map...
After months of thinking how this could be done...I never came anywhere - until yesterday...
This is what I got during the last day so far... (3) (I know, it appears rather flat...)
Tell me what you think...
Greetings,
André

Looks great.
Are you tackling the other views too? (especially climate, but perhaps also temperature and rainfall)
Sue left a comment on FB:
That is exactly the problem I am facing right now - when I try to fill the "endless" planes of all continents...
I am still experimenting with blending the old FT3 file and it's heights with my new map -> result below...
Looks ok from far away but a little bit more horrible when getting closer...
Remy: I can give it a try to tackle even climate and so on - but it will take a while, maybe some months - I usually have more time during wintertime...
At first I want to be satisfied with the topographical map...

Nibirum in motion...
André, this is wonderful!!!
I can't imagine how difficult of a task this was since there are great differences between the original FT map and the final continents that everyone created. I know that I found it challenging to translate the continental maps back to a world projection. Going back to FT again must have been quite the challenge.
Thanks for doing this!
Thank you @Shessar !
I have come a bit on my way to recreate Nibirum in FT3. This is thanks to your fantastic world map where you transformed all the "loose" mountain symbols into clean mountain ridges. This was actually the only chance I saw to give it a try to achieve something that could be a mixture between the original FT3 map and the CC3+ maps in the Atlas.
I am still not completely happy with the FT3 world but I hope that I can fix some issues during the next weeks...
