Kaldere Continental Map 1.0

The first full version of my first continental map. Not sure I am happy with everything as it is, but pretty satisfied with much of the work. I still have to go back replace some of the cities and towns with different colored versions or possibly some different styles. Maybe a few more trees here and there. Also needs text, of course.

One thing I would like to do is make the lakes look better. I have played around with both inner and outer edge glows, but that didn't really help, and I'm not sure what effects might help.

To me, the lakes look too harsh (maybe "harsh" isn't the word I want). Maybe a slight blur would help.

What if you change the fill to the same as the sea using the Change Properties tool? Would that work for you?

I was wondering if maybe it was the color that was bothering me. Something was off to me, but I haven't been able to figure out exactly what it is. I will give that a try.

how did you get the fractal coast to look so jagged. for me the fractal ends up being to weak and then the borders on the terrain are like 100 miles thick on the map.
