making a map in FT3

I've had FT3 for years but never tried to make a world in earnest till now.
I'm following the Help for making a Binary World but hit a brick wall immediately because I have no idea where the *.bin file that's needed in the setting up the world is! Searching my laptop doesn't find it either. I can't find the folder that must have been created when I installed FT3.
The Help keeps referring to a CD which I've never had, I downloaded the installer like most folk have done, which makes things even more confusing.

On my system they can be found here: C:\Program Files (x86)\ProFantasy\FT3\Terrain Data
When I imported the data files just to make sure I had the right place I was offered an info file, which I accepted. This sorted out the settings for me.
I haven't got that folder anywhere and my search for FT3 from the root C:\ didn't throw any similar folder names either. FT3 runs OK but it's obviously missing some files that should have installed when I first set my ProFantasy apps up.
What do I do now? If it was running on my Mac desktop (I wish!!) I'd know how far I could go but fiddling with Windows registry, well therein lies disaster as you can't totally uninstall apps in Windows unless you know your way around the registry.
EDIT
FOUND IT
Helen, I think you might be having a really bad day!
I hope you get it sorted out soon.
