The Vanilla (the forum software) documentation is available from the "Documentation" link in the left toolbar (bottom).

I can't decide how I feel about this forum software. It's either the most useful package I've ever seen, or the least. (I'm vastly more familiar with things like vBulletin, which perhaps aren't as powerful, but are visually more intuitive for me.)

In the My Account section under Notification, does "Notify me, when comments are posted in the complete forum" mean "... anywhere in the forum"?

It is certainly a change for me as well, from what I am used to, but after exploring it for a while, it does have several nice and interesting sides to it.

As for your question, yes, that option means that. If you wish to be notified only for a specific category, click on a discussion belonging to that category, or click on the Categories tab in the top, then the relevant category, and you should have a "Subscribe to Category" element in the left hand menu. When reading a discussion, there is also a "Subscribe to Discussion" link in the left hand menu
  • Hmm.. I see the number of discussions is 1 to 30 of 31.

How do I get to number 31 ?
  • You'll probably be kicking yourself...
At the bottom left of the page, is the option to choose page 1 or 2.
  • I finally moved my mouse pointer across them.

I thought, for some reason, it was a number 12. Not a Page 1 and a Page 2 link.

    Thanks.
  • I did of course mean bottom right (Doh!) :)
  • Its okay, I figured it out.
