Problem with an instruction to do with Symbols

Hi

I am new at this and am going through the manual. I am currently on page 81 and have a small problem and am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am in Symbol Manager where I have created a new Symbol, then selected the Circle in the draw menu. I then type 0,0 or 0.0 as per the instructions, then ENTER. The command line changes to Command [SYMMGR]: Where I type 0,0 Enter
I keep getting an error (Attachment)
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Looks to me like you never clicked the Circle image button.
The command line changes to Command [SYMMGR]:
This indicates that the circle command isn't active. When the command line reads Command [SOMETHING] it means that CC3+ is ready to start a new command (the word in brackets is the previous command, which in your case indicated that the symbol manager was the most recent command, circle was never activated).
With the circle command properly activated, the command line should read "Center[0.00000,0.00000]" (numbers may vary), which is the point you should be entering 0,0

(Also make sure you don't confuse the Circle button with the Center button, they look similar)
  • Thank you! You were right! I was using the wrong button.
